Creatures of the Sea

Members of the FWC Marine Fisheries Research section in Cedar Key will deploy their large seine net (the length of 2 football fields!) along the beach of Atsena Otie Key. They will discuss Cedar Key’s fish habitats as well as captured specimens, which are likely to include such oddities as stingrays, flounders, batfish, and horseshoe crabs. Participants are welcome to take part in the net pull. Meet at City Marina.  This event requires a minimum of 8 participants.
